varifocal lenses
Varifocals, also known as progressive lenses are the best solution when more than one prescription is needed to correct your vision. As they combine three prescriptions in one lens, you do not have to carry three different pairs of glasses.
Varifocals allow you to see at any distance, because they have different sections for viewing close up and far away and everything in between. So whether you are driving, using a computer, shopping or reading, you can wear one pair of varifocals to accommodate all your vision needs.
The more advanced a lens the less soft focus it will have, meaning it better replicates natural vision.
Distance vision is through the upper part of the lens
Intermediate vision is through the middle of the lens
Near vision is through the lower part of the lens
HOW DO VARIFOCALS WORK?
Varifocal lenses work by changing power from the top to the bottom of the lens. Moving your eyes up and down the lens will give you clear vision at all the distances you need.
